At Little Monkeys Charlbury, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we encourage all parents and carers to share any concerns they may have. If you notice anything that doesn’t feel right—such as changes in behaviour, unexplained injuries, or concerns about how a child is being treated—please speak to a member of our team. You can talk to your child’s key person, any staff member, or ask to speak directly with our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). If you prefer, concerns can also be shared in writing. All concerns are taken seriously, recorded, and handled with sensitivity and confidentiality. Where necessary, we will work with appropriate safeguarding professionals to ensure children remain safe.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please contact
emergency services on 999 or contact Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership on 01865 519800 .
Together, by speaking up, we can help keep every child safe.
Little Monkeys Designated safeguarding leads are Kelly Harley, Karen Cox, Zoe Masters and Simon Harley, please ask to speak to one of them regarding any concerns or queries you may have.

All agencies that work with children, young people and families are responsible for listening to your concerns and worries and working closely with you to make sure you and your family get the right support at the right time. At times children and families need a bit of extra support – and when that happens, it’s ok to ask for help. Early help is there to make sure worries don’t become bigger and you get the support you need at the right time. If you feel you are struggling or require any help, please do come to us and we can help support you and your family.

Our inclusive practice means designing and delivering learning experiences that accommodate the diverse needs of all children. This includes minimising or removing barriers to learning, ensuring accessibility, and promoting equality and diversity. We are an inclusive setting that actively promotes participation and reduces the barriers that children and their families with SEND may experience while they are in our care. We have a clear approach to early identification and a clear response to children and young people’s SEND.
